Peter Solon, Ph.D., licensed psychologist in Colorado and California, author of “Hidden Secret: The Successful Psychotherapy of Schizophrenia” has lectured at the University of California Medical Center/San Francisco, East Bay Hospital and the Wright Institute. He is a founder and former vice president of The Academy of Medical Psychology and held privileges at Ross Hospital in Kentfield, California and Saint Luke’s Hospital in San Francisco. He has a board certification in psychopharmacology. His formal research investigated the personalities of psychoanalytic clinicians who are effective with schizophrenic patients.

Dr. Solon has maintained a psychotherapy practice for twenty-nine years, working with seriously ill adults and latency-aged children. His primary work has been psychoanalytic psychotherapy with schizophrenic patients. His training includes psychoanalytic models, particularly Sullivanian and self psychology; conservative and alternative psychotherapies and legitimate spiritual disciplines including Theravada Buddhist practice.
