I’m pleased you found your way to my website; but let’s face it: There isn’t a website in the world that can describe what it’s like to be with myself or any psychologist; which is why I offer an initial consultation, free of charge. This way, we can mutually decide: Are we a good fit.

Having said the above, in the paragraphs to follow I’ll describe (a) what you can expect to accomplish,  (b) the type of clients I treat (c) my therapeutic style and (d) the models I employ.

What You Can Expect to Accomplish

You can expect to overcome whatever difficulties you bring to psychotherapy; and free yourself from distress.

The Type of Clients I Treat

I have a particular interest in working with adults who have psychotic symptoms––delusions and hallucinations or “voices”. These are patients who are typically given the diagnostic label, schizophrenia. I also work with clients who repeat unskillful patterns in relationship, are paralyzed by a sense of despair, and isolation; and have difficulty restraining their anger. Finally, I employ psychotherapy with distressed latency-aged children (five to twelve years of age). To my view, child psychotherapy is invaluable. Few people recognize the simple fact that children can suffer from nearly every psychological disorder that adults can.

Therapeutic Style

I offer a straightforward interest in your well-being. Without the compassion component, psychotherapy doesn’t work. Second, I provide a “non-interfering, non-invasive environment;” which is to say, you’ll feel free to be yourself. You may want to talk uninterruptedly, knowing you’re being listened to and taken seriously; or perhaps you’ll want a back-and-forth verbal exchange. You may even want to sit together in silence; and  I’m pragmatic. I do whatever it takes to achieve your personal goals, asap.

Models of Psychotherapy

Given your unique psychology, I use the model that’s most effective for you. Read more.
